How to use this result

For derailleur bikes: Thread the chain through the front derailleur and around the largest chainring and largest rear cog — but not through the rear derailleur. Pull both ends together and add 1 link (one inner + one outer plate pair). That's your working length.

Always round up to an even number of links so the chain closes with a master link (outer plate to inner plate).

Standard chains ship with 116 links. You'll cut down from there.
